Due to strong growth and expansion, we are seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Water Technologies Business. These roles will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative water treatment projects — ensuring safety, quality, and environmental excellence at every stage.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Minimum of five years’ industry experience, including at least two years in a similar project management role.
  • Tertiary qualification or relevant industry experience in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facets of projects from concept design through to delivery.
  • Provide leadership on safety to all project stakeholders.
  • Manage the successful delivery of multiple projects concurrently.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of project deliverables, contracts, and reports.
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Support tenders, quotations, and proposals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and operational staff.
  • Implement company quality, safety, and environmental management systems

We’re seeking Project Engineers to join our growing Water Technologies Business. In this role, you’ll support the design, delivery, and optimisation of innovative water treatment systems — working closely with our engineers, clients, and operations teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of water treatment systems.
  • Prepare project documentation, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Support project delivery from concept to completion.
  • Contribute to tender preparation, budgeting, and progress reporting.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and performance testing.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  •  

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in environmental, chemical, civil, or mechanical engineering.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a project or process engineering role (water, wastewater, or industrial preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

At SciDev, we deliver smart, sustainable water treatment solutions that help industries reduce waste, recover resources, and protect the environment. Our Water Technologies team is expanding and we’re looking for hands-on Service Technicians to join us.

This role is ideal for a mechanically minded technician or tradesperson who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and making a tangible impact on operations and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Install, service, and maintain water treatment systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support commissioning and on-site testing of new systems.
  • Monitor plant performance and provide technical support to clients.
  • Maintain accurate service records and safety documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and project teams to ensure reliable operations.

About You

  • Mechanical, electrical, or process trade qualification (or relevant industry experience).
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Safety-focused with good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Experience in water treatment or industrial systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Establish sites, set out surveys and continual assessment of works across multiple sites concurrently.
Management of subcontractors.
Manage and report on project financials.
Manage site quality, safety and environmental documentation.
Ensuring site quality, safety and environmental controls are implemented at all times, with all work compliant with SciDev’s QHSE management systems.
Operation and maintenance of water and waste treatment systems.
Assist in maintaining equipment logs, i.e. Plant & Equipment Register.
Assist in the construction and maintenance of SciDev’s plant and equipment.
Assist in the preparation of tenders and proposals.
