Friction Reducers

Proprietary chemistry that lowers friction in fluids, improving flow in pipelines or during drilling operations.

Friction Reducers

friction reducer

Our products provide superior friction reduction capabilities, even when using saltwater or high brine water. We focus on increasing the utilisation of recycled water in onshore oil and gas production helping companies meet their environmental regulations, limit the usage of freshwater, reduce costs and improve their operational performance.

Our product line has been engineered to help reduce costs while providing superior results. These Slik Friction Reducer products are based on fast-hydrating, highly-active ATBS co-polymer and are available in dry and liquid blended slurries for additional functionality.

Applications

FR suspensions are formulated specifically to achieve friction reduction in hydraulic fracturing

Depending upon applications, a blend of polymers can be used in place of a single polyacrylamide

Our suspension technologies can be used in waters ranging from fresh to medium TDS concentrations (ex: low TDS to around 50,000 mg/L)

Typical dosages range from 2-5 gal/minute (8-20 liters/min) of xSlik products

In fracturing, suspension FR technology can be used to carry large amounts of sand/proppant at high pump rates (100 barrels/min or 16,000 liters/min)
