International Environmental Solutions company SciDev has been named one of Australasia’s most innovative companies by The Australian Financial Review.
Standing out from more than 700 businesses across Australia and New Zealand this year, SciDev ranked 7th in the category of Mining and Utilities.
According to the assessment results, SciDev particularly excelled at providing an organisational innovation climate to help innovation thrive.
Central to the recognition is SciDev’s FluorofIX™ technology. FluorofIX™ is a cutting-edge technology that leads the world in treating per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS is a group of man-made chemicals collectively known as “forever chemicals” that have historically been used in various consumer products. These chemicals accumulate in the human body and are linked to negative health effects such as cancer, infertility, and organ damage.
SciDev’s FluorofIX™ technology is the only commercially available solution that can treat large volumes of highly contaminated water below the limit of reporting of 0.00023μg/L and generate waste volumes of less than 0.001%.
SciDev Chief Executive Officer Seán Halpin attributed the honour to SciDev’s people, who live and breathe the company’s innovative culture, consistently challenging boundaries and are dedicated to reducing harm and protecting our environment for future generations. “This is another testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation, which is driven by our commitment to helping clients address some of the world’s most complex issues”, commented Seán.
The competition is judged and compiled by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium and a panel of industry experts.
The assessment methodology of the Most Innovative Companies incorporates both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the “innovativeness” of organisations. The process includes written submissions and employee surveys.
The Australian Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies consist of ten industry lists of the top ten most innovative companies within each industry, praising the most innovative organisations from across industries in Australia and New Zealand.
