The statistics regarding poverty in Greater Houston are a stark reality: nearly 1 in 5 people in our region live below the poverty line, and during the holiday season, the financial strain on these families creates an even wider gap between need and access.

Last week, the SciDev Americas team lived out our core value, Achieve More Together, by partnering with the Salvation Army and Houston Children’s Charity. Together, we worked to bridge that gap, ensuring that families in underserved neighborhoods can experience the dignity and joy of a proper Christmas.
